Ghibli Museum
A magical place where the worlds of Studio Ghibli come to life.
A Museum Like No Other
The Ghibli Museum, located in Mitaka, Tokyo, opened in October 2001. Designed by Hayao Miyazaki himself, the museum embodies the whimsical and detailed aesthetic that characterizes Studio Ghibli films.
Unlike conventional museums, the Ghibli Museum was created with the concept of "letting people get lost." There are no set routes or guides, allowing visitors to explore and discover at their own pace, much like the protagonists in Ghibli films who embark on journeys of discovery.
The museum features exclusive short films, exhibits on animation techniques, original artwork, and recreations of Studio Ghibli workspaces, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process.
